Corinthian Helmets were traditionally made of bronze. Corinthian helmets like corinthian armor helmet and greek corinthian helmet were designed specifically to provide protection, visibility and to allow the wearer contact with air. The clean, spare shape of these helmets was the basis for many of the classical helmets of the Renaissance. These types of helmets are closely associated with the Greek Hoplite and Alexander of Macedon. Since bronze is heavier than steel, these are made thinner than steel helmets to avoid excess weight. |
