Gladiator Fight Helmets

The Gladiators, the mercenary warriors or fighters of ancient Rome, used the Gladiator Helmet. These helmets were manufactured of both 18 and 20 gauge steel with adjustable leather. Gladiators were slaves who were subjected to necessary combat in the arena for life and death. Since they suffered deathblows in the process, these helmets had an angled, movable metal visor with eye slits to protect their face.
